Advertising is now available at Coloma.com and TheAmericanRiver.com. We have a variety of ad options available, and we can help you in developing your ad, so contact us about your specific website advertising needs.

NOTE: through December 31, 2006, advertising is available only to members of the Coloma-Lotus Chamber of Commerce. After that date, space will be available for other advertisers. Some restrictions will apply.

• Ads may be purchased for any pages of Coloma.com or TheAmericanRiver.com except for the home pages. See the Coloma.com site map and TheAmericanRiver.com site map for a complete list of pages.
• Each ad links to the web page of your choice.
• Ad are placed on the page(s) of your choice (subject to availability).
• Maximum ad width is 150 pixels. Maximum ad height is 300 px. Ad prices are based on the height of the ad.
• Ads run for 1 year. Prices begin at $30 per year plus a one-time $50 setup. The year begins on the day that the ad first appears on the website.
• Ads will not be posted until payment is received. Ads will be posted within three working days after we receive final ad copy and payment.
• You may change the ad graphic periodically without additional charges.
• Discounts are available for current members of the Coloma-Lotus Chamber of Commerce. See details below.

Ad Placement

• Ads are placed in the right sidebar of each page.
• We limit the number of ads to a maximum of four per page, or a maximum total ad height of 360 pixels. These limits are to keep the pages from being dominated by ads.
• "First come, first served."
  Ads will be placed on specific pages on a space-available basis. We maintain a waiting list for pages that are full. Once your ad is placed on a page, you can keep it there as long as you want.
• The position of ads on a page (which one is top, middle, etc.) will initially be static, with the first ad purchased in the topmost position. Coloma Communications reserves the right to rotate the ads on a regular basis, giving each ad an opportunity to be in the top position.
• As part of your ad contract, you may change the graphic and/or page location of an ad once in every three-month period. (Page location subject to availability). This allows you to run seasonal ads.

Copy Requirements

• You must provide "web-ready" graphics: JPEG, PNG or GIF format only.
• Maximum file size is 30kb. (We recommend keeping file sizes under 10k for quick upload and refresh.)
• Animated GIFs are not allowed, nor are Flash animations.

Prices

Ads may be up to 150px wide. Prices are based on ad height. Maximum ad height is 300 pixels. See sample ad sizes in the right sidebar of this page.

The initial cost includes a $50 ad setup. You may place the same ad graphic on several pages without additional setup fees. The prices in the Standard Page, Premium Page, and News Pages columns are per-page rates.

If your graphic is between sizes, you'll be charged for the next-higher size. For example, an ad that is 105px tall will be charged the rate for a 120px ad.

To figure your cost, start with the setup fee. Then add in a page fee for each page you want your ad to appear on. For example, a 150x90px ad that appears on 2 Standard pages will be $50 setup plus 2 times $45—a total of $140 for 1 year.

The TAR News Pages rate applies to the "news blog" at theamericanriver.com/news. Only two ad spaces will be sold on the News Page. Each ad placed on the main News Page also appears on every news article page.

The CV News Pages rate applies to the "news blog" at coloma.com/news. Only two ad spaces will be sold on the News Page. Each ad placed on the main News Page also appears on every news article page.

The Premium Page rate applies to the following pages:

Additional Ads & Years

Note that prices for multiple pages (above) assume use of the same ad graphic on each page. If you want to have different graphics on different pages:

• Additional ads (different graphic) have a reduced set-up fee of $35. All other charges and conditions are as for an initial ad.
• There is no additional set-up fee for continuing an ad after the initial term has expired. Simply add the annual rate based on the ad size and page placement.
• The ad's placement and graphic can be changed at the commencement of an additional term. After that, you can change the ad's graphic and/or page placement quarterly.

Chamber Discounts

The following discounts are available to members of the Coloma-Lotus Chamber of Commerce:

• $10 off the initial $50 setup fee
• $5 off the $35 setup fee for each additional ad graphic

"Early birds"—get up to two extra months on your first year. All ads received and paid by Dec 31, 2006 will start running immediately and continue through Dec 31, 2007. Place your ad in late October, 2006, and get November-December free.

Price Changes

These prices are valid for advertising contracted before January 31, 2007. Coloma Communications retains the right to modify fees, prices, terms and conditions for advertising contracted or renewed after that date.
