November 29-30, 2014
This year Christmas in Coloma has merged with the Historic Holiday Houses event. Enjoy the magic of the holidays combined with the rich history of the Park for this great Seasonal tradition. Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and the Gold Discovery Park Association have teamed up to revive this classic event and get us in the holiday mood!
The highlight of the weekend is a tour of Coloma’s historic houses all dressed up for Christmas, guided by Park docents. You and your family can also enjoy favorite holiday activities including wreath making, cookie decorating, wagon rides, music, bonfire, snow pile (weather permitting) and of course, Santa!
The entry fee of $8 per car gives you admission to the Park, museum, shops and vendors. (State Park annual passes are also accepted.) Additional fees may apply to some activities.
For an additional $7 you can purchase a wristband that allows you to tour inside the Historic Holiday Houses. For a group of 4 people the price drops to $25.00. For each additional person (beyond 4) the price is $3.50 per person. The homes are open from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Visit the Marshall Gold Discovery SHP website for updates and more details.
The Gold Trail Grange #452 is hosting a “Holiday Market” to compliment “Historic Holiday Houses”. From 10-4 they will have over 16 quality local vendors, food and beverages. Working in conjunction with the other local businesses, like the Argonaut Cafe, the Grange is helping to revive the spirit of Christmas in Coloma!
