Chili Bar Dam

JPEG There were rumors that Chili Bar Dam was overwhelmed and in danger of failing, but as you can see from this photo, taken near the height of the flood, there was still room to spare in the spillgates. BT photo.



The Nugget

This photo was taken just below Chili Bar Dam, looking downstream at the Nugget campground.

All of the Nugget's six cabins were inundated by the flood, and two were swept away. BT photos.

Hwy 193 Bridge and Chili Bar put-in

The water rose almost to the level of the Hwy 193 Bridge at Chili Bar put-in. BT photos. At Chili Bar put-in, the water covered the lower parking lot and was nearing the upper lot.
