Hwy 49 Bridge

The Hwy 49 bridge was a popular place for gawkers 1/2/97 as the river rose near the top of the pilings. CW photo. JPEG
Four days later, the river has returned to its bed, but the mangled water tank truck in the trees reminds us of its potential. Donna McMaster photo. JPEG

Four days later, the river now flows sedately in its bed, well away from the apartment. The area in the foreground was a well-groomed and planted rafting campground a week before. Photo by Donna McMaster.
