Henningsen-Lotus Park

The new restrooms at Henningsen-Lotus Park were almost submerged January 2nd, and Lotus Road was closed near the park. The CCC and the Growlersberg Boys have been busy cleaning up, though, and the park should reopen soon. Photo by Jeff Lohse.




Camp Lotus

After the flood receded, we could see that Camp Lotus was the beneficiary of house-sized piles of driftwood and other debris. Photos 1/4/97 by Donna McMaster.

January 18-19 and February 1-2 are cleanup days for Camp Lotus, volunteers welcome. Pizza will be provided. Come prepared with gloves and sturdy shoes, plus implements of destruction. (Chain saw and/or pickup truck if you have them.)
