COSUMNES HEADWATER MEADOW WALK

A weekday late July/early August-Date TBD, 9am-3pm (date is snowmelt dependent) Meander through a beautiful meadow of the Middle Fork Cosumnes River, with lunch adjacent to a waterfall. Enjoy a brief discussion of meadow restoration project with naturalist volunteers from the Cosumnes Coalition. This is an intermediate, high-elevation, 2-mile hike with some steep areas and slippery/rocky terrain on an undefined trail. Steady rain or lightning storms cancel. Fit children ages 12+ welcome.
